At Swaythling Primary School our motto is ‘Be Thoughtful’.
You can be thoughtful in two distinct ways:
By being good at thinking and solving problems.
By being considerate of other people.
We ensure that the curriculum and wider learning experiences we provide equip our children to excel in both these definitions of being thoughtful.
We have 5 core values at Swaythling, that enable us to live up to our motto:
Teamwork • Honesty • Innovation • Never giving up • Kindness
In living by these values, we create a happy, caring community of confident learners, where all are welcomed and valued. Motivating and challenging learners in a creative, enjoyable and secure environment, Swaythling develops thoughtful and responsible young people with high self-esteem, and the motivation, skills and knowledge to succeed. By understanding what our children already know, we provide excellent teaching and a passion for bringing a rich and varied curriculum to life. Swaythling has high aspirations for all our learners. We foster a love of learning, and are committed to every learner’s success. An innovative and dynamic school, Swaythling responds positively to a rapidly changing world. We ensure that children develop respect for themselves, each other, their families, their community and the world.
